Back on October 11th, I jumped on a bus with some Canadian hip hop legends, and to say the following 5 weeks were amazing, wouldn’t even be fair to just how incredible it was. Nova Scotian rapper/producer, Classified put together one of the best, if not THE BEST Canadian tour’s ever, bringing along Maestro Fresh Wes and Choclair, to combine as the Canadian Classic Tour. These three artists have all had their monumental moments in hip hop history, so to be able to see them all in one show, it was definitely a treat for every fan in attendance.
I myself have been fans of these guys for most of my life, so to be involved as their official videographer/photographer, felt like a blessing every day. Though it was a lot of work (and lack of sleep) for me to shoot and edit a video for every show, I knew how fortunate I was to see history being made. From Toronto to Vancouver Island and all the way back to Montreal, it was the most epic experience to be traveling with not only these three legends, but also the amazing crew that all lived on a bus for 5 weeks. The amount of stories is endless, and the laughs never stopped, with 12 guys living in bunk beds on a tour bus, you can imagine, it was kinda like the best summer camp ever (tho it was fall and fuckin cold in those Prairie cities).
28 shows in 38 days, and I already miss every single one of them now that I’m off that bus. Big shout outs to the whole team, including Classified, Maestro, Chocs, Mike Boyd, DJ IV, Owen, Bobby, Jake Boyd, Danny, Dougal, Ruby Waters, & Timmy Ten Stacks.
Below is a collection of all 28 videos I produced over the 5 weeks, and click HERE to check out some photos I captured along the way. Can’t wait for that next tour and only can hope to be involved again next time.
